Artist • Mentor • Counselor • Teacher
Welcome! I'm Debra Norby, and my journey as an artist, educator, and mentor has been shaped by a lifelong passion for creative expression and a deep commitment to nurturing others through the arts.
Over the years, I've had the honor of serving as an instructor for the Creative Arts Program at Museum a Retreat and Conference Center, a summer art instructor at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, and a faculty member at Oregon School of Arts and Crafts. I’ve also been a National Spokesperson for the M.S. Society’s "Thank You" Campaign, with a featured appearance on the
Today Show.
My professional accomplishments include:
Individual Artist Fellowship Award
Artist-in-Residence at the Bullseye Glass Gallery
Multiple National and Regional Scholarship Awards
But my most meaningful role? Being a
mentor and counselor—someone who listens, supports, and uplifts. From the early days of saying “BeMember Things” (my first words) to encouraging young artists to find their own voice, this path has always been about connection and creativity.
You might also catch me reminiscing about
Scott and me, sharing laughter over coffee, or talking about my first job at Cool Dairy. It’s all part of the story.
